Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine.; we take no position on outside issues. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.  ~OA Preamble, updated May 2015

We offer meetings every day of the week, several times a day. Please click here to find a meeting near you. We suggest calling the meeting contact person for meetings that fall on major holidays.  Many of us especially like to meet on those days.

The Greater Ann Arbor Area Intergroup serves OA members within a 50-mile radius of Ann Arbor, including parts of Ohio. Our purpose is to carry the message of recovery to those with the problem of eating compulsively by fostering the practice of the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous, guided by the Twelve Concepts of OA Service, and to serve and represent its member groups. We also support and liaise with regional and national OA.

We ask each meeting to send a representative to Intergroup and encourage all members who wish to serve to attend meetings. Currently we meet after the Saturday 10 AM meeting which is held at the Women’s Center of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor on the third Saturday of the month. For more information, email aaaoaig@gmail.com or ask your meeting’s contact person or your Intergroup representative.
